Examine with a magnet
Most of the precious metals are not magnetic, including Platinum. So, you can use a magnet to verify the purity of Platinum jewelry. When the magnet comes close to the jewelry, it should not move or react with the magnet. However, when the Platinum jewelry moves a bit, it could be normal as well since a small portion of metal alloy is usually added to strengthen platinum. To know more about how to verify Platinum from the Hallmarking system of Platinum in ByEnzo.
Examine with an Acid Testing Kit
Platinum is highly resistant to strong acid in most circumstances, therefore, you can examine Platinum Jewelry if there is not hallmarking on it, for instance. So, if you place the Platinum jewelry in acidic solution, it will not react with the acidic solution, i.e. no bubbles coming out from the Platinum jewelry. If it does react with acid, the jewelry might probably not pure enough or it is not Platinum at all. But, please be careful when you are handling acid as it can burn your skin. Remember to wear a pair of gloves.

Hallmarking
Last but not least, having a hallmark on jewelry is the most secure way to examine the purity of the Platinum Jewelry, for example. In most European countries, hallmarking is essential and all retail shops are obliged to hallmark every item they are selling.
ByEnzo has hallmarks on the backside of every item we are selling. You can see ‘Pt 950′ and your customer number engraved on the jewelry you are purchasing. To ensure high-quality customer services, we also engrave the unique customer ID for references. In addition, ByEnzo will issue product verification certification as well, this is a report of the purity check of the Platinum jewelry. We have been pursuing to secure all customers’ consumer rights all the time.
